Operating in Chaos : Application #1

Keep Low To The Ground.

Tenet:
If possible keep low to the ground. In Chaos your typical orienting structure is not intact and may be faulty. The ground is the one plane that may be trustable.

Application:

The Ground may refer to the physical ground as in the case of a fire or other tumultuous event. Both “stop, drop, and roll,” and “duck and cover” are moves that physically put you towards the ground.

However the Ground is also an energetic and symbolic distinction when viewed as an Application.

It also refers to the solidity that can exist internally, a sense of personal fortitude. An indivisible Integrity.

By keeping low to the Ground you remain intimate with your personal Truth.

Consider the case of Personal Chaos, perhaps an abusive relationship, in order to combat rampant gas lighting and the massaging of your sense of Truth, you must have a basis to record and self-verify your own experience.

This can be done by recording facts as they occur via journal or log and on a moment-to-moment basis by running a diagnostic of your 5 senses and emotional state.

A crucial piece of employing this technique with Integrity is to use it as a Practice, even when it is not necessary. This will keep the tool sharp for when it’s critical to have available.

“We fall to the level of our training.”

Keeping Low To The Ground also means remaining perceptive and aware of events beyond your immediate sphere of concern. When you are “Low To The Ground” so is your Ear.

In Chaos it’s important to have attuned listening in order to pick up on hidden patterns and signals.

It will likely not be in the “trending topic” of the day. The daily buzz is the crashing wave, it’s already had time to form and execute it’s orders. Ask, where is the next wave originating from? What’s coming? What’s inevitable given the current system dynamics? What are the small pools of insight or influence that you should be watching that act as trigger warning to the larger system.

Whenever I am getting sick my scalp hurts. I don’t know why or if this happens to anybody else but I know without failure if I’m taking ill that my scalp will hurt if massage it. So sometimes if I’m feeling a bit off I’ll check in, usually I can self-correct and maintain my constitution.

In order to receive information that’s not tangible you may need to get your hands dirty and place sensors in areas you wouldn’t normally frequent.

What are those you consider most vile currently discussing? Who’s your hero’s biggest detractor? What are their known plans? Maybe there’s some wisdom hidden their ethos.

Another technique that keeps to the Ground is to Find Faith.

Whatever shape that Faith takes for you, as long as is it’s cultivated from within.

Faith does not depend on the Rational, it emanates from the Irrational, the Mystery, that which cannot and does not require explanation. Faith in essence is imperturbable by events. Faith is shaken when attempts are made to rationalize it.

“Why would God allow X to happen?”

This may or may not be a useful exercise to consider under normal conditions, but in Chaos it serves no purpose. An indivisible Faith can be your Ground.

Imagine you are a prisoner of war, you have no way of knowing how you will be treated by your captors, or when your internment will even end. You likely exist is a state of perpetual darkness and discomfort. But can you have Faith that you will overcome? Yes, absolutely. Let it make you indestructible.

Physical exercise is the ground, a person or relationship may be the ground, the ground isn’t necessarily one thing or a certain thing. It’s whether you find the most solidity. Keep to that.

In Chaos everything is in flux, Keeping To The Ground helps you reorient. Once you orient you can move with greater security and strategy.

Pick your Ground wisely. The more internal the more indestructible. However there are no absolutes. Even the strongest among us have vulnerabilities. A broken sense of self or sanity is the hardest to repair in Chaos. This is the case of No Ground.*

As all the Tenets of Chaos Operation they are often to be deployed together and in the right formation as situations change. There are no Absolutes.
